| How do you say SQL?This seems to be a tribal issue. Personally, I say S.Q.L. - I pronounce each letter of the abbreviation. I do this because I am an academic. People in industry more commonly say "sequel". However - I think sequel-zoo sounds better so I break my own rule (when I remember). One of the reasons I've heard for saying S.Q.L. is that IBM had a product SEQUEL - so it might be possible to get confused. Andrew Cumming |
